Operating in more than 50 markets, the company has delivered large-scale deployments recognised globally for design and innovation.
Now the focus is on building the next wave.
The Head of Emerging Technology & Innovation will lead a lean incubator lab where ideas move fast from prototype to pilot.
This is not product management.
It is an engineering leadership role for someone who codes, architects, and ships.
The remit is clear: take emerging technologies, prototype quickly, fail and learn fast, and turn the best into production pilots that scale across thousands of sites.
The Role: Lead a small, senior R&D team: two senior engineers, a shared hardware engineer, and an experienced designer.
The lab is deliberately small so the work stays close to the tech and hands-on.
Set direction, but also stay on the tools.
Write and review code.
Architect systems.
Debug alongside engineers.
Deploy prototypes into live environments.
Build systems that remove operational friction and change how millions of people interact with the brands they use every day.
What You'll Own: Rapid prototyping: turning ambiguous ideas into working pilots in the market A small, multidisciplinary team of engineers, hardware specialists, and a designer AI and LLM experimentation applied directly to customer interactions.
Software distribution across fleets of connected devices and hardware Hardware integrations that remove bottlenecks in restaurant and retail operations Lab practices that prioritise fast iteration, technical depth, and minimal bureaucracy What We're Looking For: Strong engineering and architecture background, confident coding in modern stacks Hands-on experience with AI, LLMs, Io T, and distributed systems.
Proven record of prototyping and delivering products into production pilots Ability to operate in ambiguity, make quick calls, and iterate with speed Skill in simplifying technical complexity for executives and business stakeholders A leadership style that is sleeves rolled up, working alongside the team rather than above it What's On Offer: Base: $205,000 + super STI: Up to 13% per annum Team: A lean, high-impact innovation lab with a direct line to the product roadmap If you have the engineering depth and the drive to build products that millions of people use every day, this is the role.
