We’re currently on the lookout for a Purchasing & Inventory Officer

**Key focus & responsibilities**

We have a great opportunity for a Purchasing & Inventory Officer to join our team at Knoxfield. You will be reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and will work in a fast-paced, short lead-time manufacturing environment to ensure that we have all the necessary materials to meet our customer demand.
- Assist the Inventory team with all purchasing requirements for our Metro site
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, negotiate, follow up on outstanding PO’s and discuss product quality issues
- Proactively monitor and communicate material availability and shortages to ensure customer demand is met
- Recommend and implement improvements to purchasing and inventory performance

We are on the lookout for;
- Previous purchasing and inventory management experience
- Strong computer skills; a high level of proficiency across the MS Office suite - essential
- Excellent communication - ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
- A willingness to multi-skill and a proactive approach in providing solutions for improvement
- Experience with ERP systems will be highly regarded (e.g. SAP, JDE, MOVEX or similar)
