About the role

Zanen Pty Ltd (trading as Knoxfield IGA) is seeking an experienced Produce Manager to join our team in Knoxfield, VIC. As Produce Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, display, and sale of all fresh produce in our supermarket. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work with a dedicated, customer-focused team.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the procurement, ordering, and inventory control of all fresh produce items
  • Ensure optimal product presentation and rotation to maximise sales and minimise waste
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to inform purchasing and merchandising decisions
  • Train and supervise produce department staff to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Collaborate with the store management team to drive overall business objectives
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food handling regulations

What we're looking for

  • Minimum years' experience as a Produce Manager or in a similar role within the retail/supermarket industry
  • Strong knowledge of fresh produce handling, storage, and display best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in a team and liaise with suppliers
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse data and implement effective inventory management strategies
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a customer-centric approach
