**Your Opportunity**

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and driven individual to oversee the effective delivery of our SEE Program at our site in Cannington on a short-term contract basis with a possibility of extension. You will report directly to the SEE Program Manager and manage staff on site.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct and oversee all Pre-Training Assessments (PTA’s) conducted by other assessors at the site
- Ensure that all new referrals are allocated to classes in a timely manner (within 4 weeks)
- Liaise, represent, and advocate for participants with Workforce Australia providers and other institutions
- Manage all class transfers in accordance with Job Plans
- Manage and assist all staff, including relief staff, in accordance with relevant policies and procedures
- Training new staff
- Conduct probationary and annual performance appraisals considering the relevant documentation such as job descriptions and performance appraisal forms.
- Assist staff in achieving professional goals and provide guidance when deemed necessary.
- Address performance/behavioral issues with staff when the need arises.
- Inform the Program Manager and People & Culture of any staff performance/behavioral matters for follow-ups and resolutions
- Conduct team meetings regularly ensuring any relevant changes are communicated amongst staff
- Supervise all volunteers at the site and liaise with the Volunteer Coordinator regularly.
- Identify and resolve in conjunction with the Program Manager any operational barriers that might affect the performance of the site.
- Supervise all housekeeping matters and liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding site management.
- Oversee on a regular basis supplies and stationery orders for the site.

**Essential**:
**To be considered you MUST have the following**:

- Teaching degree with a focus in Adult Literacy and Numeracy and knowledge of TESOL;
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110 plus TAELLN411 and TAEASS502)
- Experience working with Adults in TSOL or literacy;
- Knowledge and experience in delivering/using the CGEA, EAL, GATE, and ACSF
- General Understanding of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF)
- Demonstrated experience in working with people from a wide range of backgrounds
- Experience with Student Management Systems
- Experience in Managing teams
- A current National Police Clearance and Working with Children’s Clearance and;
- A current drivers license.
