An opportunity exists for a Workplace Relations Advisor to work with senior specialists to fulfil the obligations of the Workplace Relations Unit in order to address industrial and workplace relations issues, including, but not limited to: organisational change, Union engagement, grievances, workplace investigations, industrial disputes and external advocacy.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in all aspects of the efficient operation of the unit, including: providing Industrial Relations (IR) and HR advice to clients, assisting with strategic analysis and responses in providing advice on performance management, complaints, official misconduct and discipline matters and Award entitlements, undertaking the assessment and coordination of Public Interest Disclosures and crime and corruption matters referred to SCHHS, in accordance with the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 and the Crime and Corruption Act 2001, and provide authoritative advice and guidance on the management of complex HR cases such as discipline and ill health processes.
- Maintain data bases and registers that contain case records for matters such as discipline cases, Criminal History Assessment and Public Interest Disclosures.
- Prepare periodic reports e.g. for the SCHHS Board and Public Service Commission [CaPE] for review and progression by Senior Management.
- Support and assist in the preparation of documents to be presented to the Sunshine Coast Consultative Forum and provide secretariat duties when necessary.
