**Scope and requirements for role**

The role encompasses the following CORE responsibilities:

- Preparing contract documents for Vendor services and supply
- Negotiating and drafting Vendor service and supply contracts
- Providing support and advice to Category Manager and other Supply Chain Management representatives on negotiations and contractual related matters
- Reduce DXC risk exposure in Vendor& Supplier contracts and engagements
- Establishing and maintaining a premier level of governance of SCM matters
- Handling contractual disputes within Supply Chain Management
- Build a strong and collaborative relationship with the Legal team
- Consult with Legal on back to back requirements in Vendor contractual agreements for services/goods that are provided to DXC Customers
- Engage Legal in legal matters arising from SCM activities
- Create and promote DXC Teaming Agreement solutions to expand DXC market solutions
- Create and conduct Commercial and Contract training to Category Manager and other Supply Chain Management representatives as required
- Engagement with other Supply Chain Management representatives based in the region and international centres.
- Build and maintain rapport with key parts of DXC by providing expert and timely advice.
- Be focused on solutions and creation of beneficial outcomes for Supply Chain Management
- Review and advise on all contracts prior to execution by DXC Supply Chain Management leadership
- Be available and accessible to Supply Chain Management representatives for assistance and guidance on contract/legal matters
- Actively utilise ACT for Supply Chain Management team awareness of matters where my input is required
- Engage Business Excellence team to assist in the effectiveness of the Supply Chain Management contract life cycle
- Provide leasing advice to Real Estate and Facilities organisation
- Interrelate with senior management and all other levels of the business.
- Promote DXC wide ethos that Supply Chain Management is the place to come for effective Vendor / Supplier contracts.
- Co-ordinate broader Supply Chain Management legal issues (ie intellectual property, privacy) through Legal

**ADDITIONAL**
- Manage a Category within the Category Management framework
- Build a Centre of Excellence: Supply Chain Management Contracts by training, mentoring and coaching Supply Chain Management representatives.
- Support and collaborate with Supply Chain Management representatives in USA, Europe and Asia Pacific region.
- Work flexibly with the peaks and troughs of demand.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Elevate the skill base and job satisfaction of the Category Management team.

**Challenges & Problem Solving**

You may face the following challenges in achieving your goals:

- Absence of legal skills in SCM team
- Knowledge of DXC customer requirements and DXC obligations to customers
- Alignment of Vendor contracts with DXC customer contracts
- Risk reduction to minimise commercial exposure to DXC
- Flexibility in the contracts to improve performance and increase business

**Qualifications and Experience Required**

You should have experience in the following:

- Solid experience in a similar role, with regional responsibility
- Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors
- Legal knowledge and ideally some qualifications in this area
- Strong Contract management knowledge
- You **must** be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
