**Role Summary**:
The Environmental Advisor (Projects) is an opportunity in our HSE Strategy Planning & Projects Team. This role will require site visits and travel.

This role will require you to collaborate with project teams and contractors to provide quality advice and foster best practice environmental management during Synergy’s construction, commissioning, and decommissioning projects.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Participate in the development of Synergy environmental management policy and procedures to address key environmental aspects and impacts relating to the construction of Synergy’s Major Renewables projects.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for improvement in environmental performance within Synergy projects.
- Manage and supervise environmental consultants and contractors.
- Regularly undertake visits to sites (often regionally/ overnight) for conducting audits and inspections related to environmental approvals and construction environmental management.
- Provide technical input into key training and awareness, both for Synergy employees and its contractors.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Environmental risk assessment and management on construction and demolition projects
- Experience in environmental management disciplines such as clearing, waste, dangerous goods, noise, air quality, and contaminated sites.
- 2 - 5 years site-based experience in environmental management in a construction or heavy industry setting
- Development and implementation of environment management systems and environmental management principles and policy.
