About us

Image Resources is a growing mineral sands producer and is currently operating a highly successful mine and processing facility at its 100%-owned, high-grade, zircon-rich flagship Atlas mineral sands project, with a view to further expand operations through the development of multiple projects.

The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an Environmental Advisor – Projects to join our West Perth team. This role will be responsible for supporting the timely delivery of environmental approvals for development projects, while also assisting in the implementation of relevant environmental guidelines and ensuring compliance with all legislative and statutory requirements.

You will be responsible for:

  • Interpreting legislation, government guidelines and approvals.
  • Collating reports accurately to meet legislative and statutory requirements;
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory and company standards including amending approvals as required;
  • Providing informed commentary, improvement opportunities and risk management controls;
  • Providing professional, timely environmental advice;
  • Delivering environmental training and awareness programs;
  • Coordinating and undertaking internal audits/inspections;
  • Following up corrective actions required with the respective department manager;
  • Assisting where required with any environmental incident investigation;
  • Coordinating external visits/consultants and provision of scientific advice with respect to rehabilitation, hydrogeology and detailed botanical surveys.
  • Minimising company risk exposure and liabilities by supporting activities to ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory and licensing requirements.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A strong commitment to safety, health, environment, people, community and workplace diversity;
  • Previous experience within the mining industry preferred but not essential;
  • Tertiary education in a relevant discipline;
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills;
  • Your strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with your results-driven traits will be the key attributes required for success in this rewarding role.
