We currently have an opportunity for a motivated and organised team player, to join our Food & Beverage Team on a 12 month maximum term contract as Meetings & Special Events (MASE) Sales and Events Coordinator.
Reporting to the MASE Manager;
**_ Your focus will be:_**
- Implement MASE plans within established event planning processes;
- Scripting and preparing an Event Orders and Floorplans in a timely manner
- Assist with Weekly reporting
- Preparing briefing documents
- Administration duties
- Conduct venue site inspections for event planning and future business opportunities
- Issuing invoices as per payment plans and ensuring all monies due are paid in advance
- Develop and create ongoing client relationships and provide service at high levels to key clients
- Complete repeat business sales opportunities by issuing quotes and contracts
- Be an active member of a dynamic sales and events team, including:
- Participating in weekly sales, coordination and operational meetings
- Working with the team to co-ordinate events seamlessly
- Assist in maintaining and improving our Event Management software platforms (UBS) and the information relating to events, clients, food and beverage and invoicing
- Provide guidance and support to resolving customer issues and complaints post-event
- Facilitate pre-con meetings for complex or large events to ensure the smooth handover process
- Report on customer service issues relating to products, services, staff, systems and facilities, with the view of providing recommendations for initiatives for improving customer service and guest experience
**_To be successful, you will have:_**
- Diploma or degree qualifications in Event Management or Hospitality Management (desirable).
- 3 years’ experience in a similar hospitality sales or food and beverage role (essential).
- Operational or sales experience in event, venue or other large scale catering operation (essential).
- Strong competency in Microsoft Office Suite (essential).

While standard hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm, the nature of the event industry means that you will be required to work outside these hours particularly around events being staged at Optus Stadium and Stadium Park.
