2Hire Recruitment is currently working with a council in Melbourne's North to recruit an Asset Protection Officer.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular inspections of council-owned assets, such as buildings, infrastructure, and public spaces, to identify potential risks and ensure their proper maintenance.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines to ensure the safety and security of council assets.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and enhance asset protection measures.
- Liaise with other council departments, contractors, and community members to address asset-related concerns and provide timely solutions.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and contribute to the development of asset management plans.
- Relevant experience in asset protection, security, or a related field in Local Government.
- Strong knowledge of asset management principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
- Sound problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
- Proficiency in using relevant computer software and systems including Word, Excel & Outlook.
