We are seeking an experienced and compassionate **Clinical Lead** for our **Child Protection Counselling Service (CPCS)**. In this vital leadership role, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical supervision, guidance, and oversight to a team of professionals working with children and young people who have been impacted by abuse, neglect, or domestic violence. Your leadership will contribute to the recovery, safety, and well-being of those involved in the child protection system.

The **Clinical Lead** will have extensive specialist knowledge in child protection and counselling, with the ability to manage complex cases and provide strategic guidance to staff. You will also provide consultative support and work in collaboration with other mental health, social services, and agency partners to deliver trauma-informed, integrated care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Leadership & Supervision**: Lead, supervise, and support the counselling team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-centred services to children, young people, and their families.
- **Clinical Expertise**: Manage a clinical caseload (0.5 FTE) while providing advanced clinical guidance and supervision to the team.
- **Collaborative Care**: Work closely with management and colleagues across the health service to facilitate seamless, integrated, and trauma-informed care.
- **Casework & Intervention**: Provide specialist casework and evidence-based interventions aimed at strengthening parenting capacity and ensuring children can safely remain or return to their families.
- **Consultation & Support**: Offer ongoing consultative support to staff and external partners, helping to develop and deliver effective interventions in line with the NSW Health Prevention and Response to Violence Abuse and Neglect (PARVAN) Framework and relevant policies.
- **Innovation & Best Practice**: Support your team to deliver culturally safe, innovative, and evidence-based practices, ensuring services align with service standards and quality improvement initiatives.

**About You**:

- Must hold the qualification of a Degree in Social Work from an accredited course providing eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Overseas qualifications must supply the AASW Overseas Assessment number.
- An eligible NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel for work
- You have extensive specialist knowledge and experience of current child protection and domestic violence assessment and intervention models of care, developmental trauma, counselling, therapy and casework in working with children, young people and families.
- You have extensive experience in reviewing and developing policy, implementing service standards and guidelines, and child protection principles and practice (systems, legislation and NSW Health Policies).
