RPS is seeking an up-and-coming** Financial Insights Assistant** to join our RPS Finance team based in Fortitude Valley for a fixed term parental leave cover.

This is an exciting role which will see you working closely with the finance team and finance business partners to deliver insightful financial information. You will use Power BI to visualise data for managers assisting them in improving business performance.

Working in a fast-paced environment this role will suit an Accountant with strong analytical skills who is keen to add value. It is anticipated you will be CA/CPA qualified, or part qualified with good Excel skills. Some prior experience with Power BI will be valuable, but just as important will be a strong desire to take your data visualisation to the next level.

**Key responsibilities**
- Provides accurate, timely, and actionable financial reporting and key business metrics to business and operating teams, gain key insights into trends with meaningful and actionable analyses.
- Contribute to the monthly accounting close & reporting process.
- Support finance’s standing goal to continuously improve the quality, efficiency, and value of financial information produced, via financial tools, operational efficiencies, and automation.
- Assist in preparation of budgeting templates during the budget cycle
- Help develop financial & KPI reporting models
- Thrive within a dynamic & fast paced environment.
- Other ad-hoc analysis
- Contribute to ongoing internal controls and other process improvements.

**Qualifications required**
- CA/CPA qualified or part qualified
- 2-3 years’ experience working in financial analysis or similar.
- Ability to identify and understand the key drivers of business performance.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving / process improvement.
- Ability to execute tasks effectively and manage competing priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and deal with a high volume of work in a tight deadline environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
