**About the Role.**
The Senior Analyst is a commercially analytical position with a market leading ASX company. The opportunity will offer the Senior Analyst a broad and varied role reporting to the Manager Market Intelligence, in this role you will be responsible for assisting in the provision of leading-edge market insights to facilitate business-wide marketing and investment decisions.

The Market Intelligence Team are responsible for Strategic Planning, Market Analysis and they are looking to strengthen this department with the addition of a Senior Analyst.

The team's research primarily relates to commodity markets. Insights are delivered through regular reporting, briefings and presentations.

Reporting into and assisting the Manager of Market Intelligence, The Senior Analyst will undertake the following;
- Development of well researched insights relating to commodity markets.
- Analysis of customers and competitors to communicate clear and practical implications for the business.
- Research, develop and maintain financial, operational and commercial models.
- Delivery of reports, briefings and presentations.
- Develop demand and supply models.
- Be a collaborative team player who is constantly looking for ways to improve and create new models and frameworks.
- Reporting across other markets relevant to new business development opportunities.
- Knowledge of the issues that face large organisations including an understanding and interpretation of complex drivers that impact business performance.
- 5 Plus years relevant experience.
- Preferred experience or exposure of commodity markets or energy sectors.
- Preferred experience includes roles such as commercial / business analyst roles.
- Strong communication skills and relationship management skills.
- High level of skill working both autonomously and collaboratively in a team as well as the ability to coach and mentor others.
