The Project - Sydney Metro City South West (SMCSW)

The SMCSW is a new 30-kilometre metro line extending the tracks from the southern end of Sydney Metro North West at Chatswood, under Sydney Harbour through new CBD Stations and upgraded stations along the South West corridor to Bankstown.

MTR have been awarded the Operations, Trains & Systems package in Dec 2019 and commenced delivery of key rail systems & trains and now seeking for engineers to be part of this project.

The role

Support the area manager to ensure day to day site activities in terms of access, logistics and coordination are undertaken safely and as per planned schedule.

**Description**:
Responsibilities of the Position

The site supervisor is responsible for managing day to day coordination of external significant contract works and are the primary contact for contractor site supervisor staff. The site supervisor will assist in the resolution of site related matters and provide provision of daily reporting in terms of progress, issues, production, Critical risks, subcontractor plant and labour provisions for subcontractors.

**Skills and Experiences**:
Experience
- 10 years experience in the supervision of “systems” construction works on new infrastructure projects with complex interfaces (NSW experience preferred)
- Experience in both green field and brown field rail sites (preferred)

**Skills**:

- Experience in managing multiple subcontractors simultaneously
- Experience in managing multiple work sites on a day to day basis
- Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills
- Experience of working in Principal Contractor areas with a working understanding of Principal Contractor requirements
