Here is an exciting opportunity reporting directly to the MD of this Global company leader located in the North west region of Sydney. With offices in Queensland, WA, Victoria and South Australia the role will see you as the expert who can solve complex issues, provide the right answers and directions to others. You will be able to demonstate consistency, expertise and draw upon your previous min of 5 years experience in a similar role.
The position includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
- Ensuring all the EHS Procedures are followed, all incidents are reported accordingly
- Maintenance and continuous improvement of the EHS management system to ensure compliance with the legislation
- Assist the managers with investigation of incidents and hazard management
- Develop and implement, in conjuction with department managers, appropriate remedial action arising from investigations
- Drive the EHS risk management process across the organsiation and provide key stakeholders with assistance and advice required
- Develop and conduct regular audits to ensure processes, systems and contractors comply with relevant legislation and corporate policies and procedures
- Facilitate and lead risk reviews and workshops
- Prepare performance reports and statisical analysis
- Provide leadership and support to line managers and supervisors to ensure appropriate compliance checks, analysis and risk assessments are conducted in an efficient manner
- Monitor and communicate to relevant stakeholders, any change to the EHS legislation
Whilst you will be taking care of the other states as well, there is not much interstate travel. The right person will be a good trainer, be able to provide sound advice and coach others. You will preferably have your Cert IV in Work Health and Safety as a minimum, have working knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations and code of practice and standards. You will have an understanmding of AS4801 and/or ISO45001 or the like as well as a minimum of 5 years previous experience. If you have what it takes, please apply
