The Union University & Schools Club of Sydney, a prestigious private members' Club located in the heart of the CBD, is seeking an experienced Functions Coordinator to join our dedicated team.

This position is perfect for someone with strong communication skills, organisational skills and a passion for customer service. You will play a key role in both planning and executing private functions, whilst overseeing floor operations during function service. Note, we operate Monday-Friday only and are closed on weekends.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Functions Coordination
- Liaise with members and guests to plan and manage private function (meetings, dinners, lunches etc.)
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth delivery of functions.
- Prepare function proposals, run sheets, and ensure all logístical details are managed
- Provide clear communication and follow-up with clients before and after functions
- Invoicing and billing of functions

Floor Supervision
- Supporting the Restaurant & Functions Managers in overseeing staff, floor operations and maintaining high service standards
- Assist in training floor staff
- Handle member and guest enquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Prior experience in event coordination and/or hospitality supervision
- Administrative and organisational abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- A hands-on and proactive approach to both planning and service
- A professional, polished presentation and customer-focused mindset
- RSA certification required

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
