The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District Drug and Alcohol Service offers free, non-judgemental services and treatments for drug and/or alcohol use, including information and support for families. Our service offers specialist drug and alcohol doctors, nurses and allied health staff who respect the client's right to choose from a range of treatments offered with our services underpinned by a philosophy of harm reduction.

**What you’ll be doing**:
Using innovative, evidence-based skills and interventions, you will professionally support individuals seeking assistance with alcohol and drug use. You will take a trauma-informed approach and provide respectful, person-centred care, tailored to individual’s needs. Central to your role will be employing an individualised, holistic approach to care, incorporating comprehensive care planning to address the diverse physical, emotional, and social aspects of each person’s journey.

This position will assume the clinical leadership of psychologists working in the Drug & Alcohol Service and oversee day-to-day operational management of the team. The incumbent will provide high quality, patient focused, evidence-based psychological assessments, diagnosis and interventions for the purpose of improving the outcomes of patients and families/carers engaged in treatment programs with the Drug & Alcohol Service.

Your contribution as a healthcare professional will have a meaningful and positive impact, which is felt at a community level.
- Generally registered as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia with area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology or Forensic Psychology. Extensive contemporary experience and knowledge of psychological practice.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and proven problem-solving ability within a clinical setting.
