Seeking a passionate and experienced Transaction manager to join a Construction business based in Lidcombe. Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, this role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day finance functions of the business, managing accounting transactions, project finance requirements, cash flow forecasting, and maintaining data integrity.

Your New Role
- Oversee day-to-day accounting transactions, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Lead project finance requirements, such as processing progress claims and managing incoming/outgoing retention.
- Manage weekly payment files, including suppliers, payroll, and super payments, within the accounting package.
- Maintain credit control and procurement on-boarding processes within the business.
- Support end-of-month closure procedures, including summary reports, bank and credit card reconciliation, journal entries, interest, and intercompany transactions.
- Contribute to accurate cash flow forecasting and management in line with company policies and goals.
- Support the Business Operations Manager in ensuring accurate financial operations functions are maintained within the department.
- Monitor and implement solutions to maintain data integrity across the accounting and ERP package.
- Identify process performance issues and suggest and implement solutions.
- Manage and mentor the Finance Officer.
- Assist the Business Operations Manager in the formation of statutory lodgements, annual budgets, and strategic projects aligned with business goals.
- Handle various ad-hoc reporting and administration tasks.

**What you need to succeed**
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience with MYOB desired
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills essential
