We have a vacancy for the exciting role of Regional Sales Manager (South). Based in our Melbourne office, this position will see you responsible for effectively and efficiently managing 5 Territory Managers and for achieving sales and profit targets across Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia.

As a senior member of the Life Sciences Group, the successful applicant will be a result driven and motivated person with the ability and desire to develop his/her team, both individually and as a group.

To meet the challenge you will currently be an experienced sales performer looking for a new challenge. A well organised, self-starter, you will also possess a strong technical background. You will be passionate for success and thrive in competitive environments.
- Achieve sales, profit & expense targets for the region
- Support the National Manager in implementing sales strategies
- Lead, develop and motivate the team to meet agreed targets and objectives
- Develop, drive and implement National Account plans
- Complete all tasks associated with employee leadership & management.

**Ideally, you will posses the following experience, skills & attributes**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a Life Science discipline
- Minimum 5 years experience within the Life Science market
- Sales experience with proven results in complex selling
- Possess sound business acumen
- Ability to develop achievable sound business plans to contribute to the overall growth of the organisation
- Problem solving & conflict resolution skills
- High levels of diplomacy
- Excellent PC and software skills are essential

- What is the primary purpose of this position?_

The primary purpose of the Regional Sales Manager role is to:
- Ensuring satisfaction of all customers in the allotted defined region, while achieving regional sales targets.
- Leading and motivating the regional sales team to meet agreed sales targets and profit objectives of the region.
- To ensure budgeted annual sales objectives are met for the LSG business from the designated region

- Achieve Sales, Profit and expense targets within designated region
- Achieve base target in all product divisions, shows growth evenly across the divisions

**Sales**
- Displays complete knowledge of company’s products, utilises all resources at her/his command ( AM/ Specialists, Demos etc.) to progress the sale
- Spends at least 60% of time in the field with TM or on own activities.
- Works to improve staff knowledge and skills with feedback and guidance.
- Supports the Marketing Manager and Product Managers and the National Sales Manager (NSM)in implementing sales plan in line with Marketing Strategies.
- Staff selection, appointing (in consultation with NSM) while motivating / mentoring AM’s
- Co-ordinating sales trainings, setting and monitoring staff performance targets, including customer records and prospect banks.
- Ensure that the company achieves its customer satisfaction objective at all times & uses appropriate means to report where this is not occurring

**Customer Service**
- Ensures customer quotations are reviewed when above AM limits
- Conducts oneself in a manner which at all times brings credit to themselves / their position / and the company.
- Meet the quarterly objectives set in consultation with National Sales Manager
