About the Role
Serve as a positive role model to consumers and support them to identify their own achievable and meaningful recovery goals.
Provide direct peer support to consumers by engaging in individual and group peer support to make positive changes towards recovery by identifying strengths and goals and participating in planning to achieve these, i.e. recovery plans.
Be an effective and collaborative member of the CCU multidisciplinary team and work within professional boundaries in accordance with Queensland Health Lived Experience (Peer) Workforce Framework, to provide safe and quality practices as part of an integrated model of care.
Positively promote and demonstrate individual recovery, sharing personal lived/living experience (when appropriate) of managing mental health issues and/or substance use challenges.
