**Empowering Communities Through Culture, Connection, and Capacity**
**Chatr** is seeking a passionate, experienced, and culturally responsive **CALD Trainer** to join our dynamic team and deliver mental health, wellbeing, and capacity-building workshops across Australia. This role focuses on working with **Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD)** communities, helping to build resilience, mental health literacy, and community capacity in a culturally safe and empowering way.
**About the Role**
As a CALD Trainer, you will facilitate trauma-informed, culturally responsive workshops that promote mental health and wellbeing, support community connection, and empower participants through education and engagement. You’ll be delivering high-impact training developed with community, for community.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Workshop Facilitation**
- Deliver engaging workshops across CALD communities with a focus on mental health, empowerment, and cultural safety.
- Create inclusive learning environments that celebrate diversity and foster psychological safety.
**Participant & Community Engagement**
- Build strong rapport with participants and communities to enhance workshop experience.
- Offer post-session support, linking participants with relevant services and referrals.
- Collaborate with multicultural services and community leaders to support outreach and engagement.
**Program Development**
- Work with the Chatr Training team to tailor and improve training content in response to community needs.
- Contribute to program evaluation and continuous quality improvement.
**Cultural Responsiveness**
- Ensure all training content and delivery methods are culturally safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the unique needs, strengths, and experiences of CALD communities.
**Administrative Support**
- Support workshop coordination, travel planning, data collection, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to program reporting and participant tracking.
**About You**
- **Cultural Competency** - Deep understanding of, or lived experience within, CALD communities.
- **Facilitation Experience** - Confident in leading workshops and group-based learning.
- **Trauma-Informed Practice** - Grounded understanding of trauma-informed care and safe facilitation.
- **Strong Communicator** - Able to connect across cultures and languages with empathy and professionalism.
- **Willingness to Travel** - National delivery may require some travel; VIC base preferred.
