**bout the role**

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine, preventative and breakdown maintenance on site
- Engage in general construction and fabrication work as required, reading and working to plans
- Monitor and ensure efficiency of machinery and equipment, detecting hazards, leaks and issues, making improvements as required and controlling for issues
- Complete appropriate paperwork promptly and accurately
- Adhere to 5S principles, ensuring a clean, safe and accessible workshop and workspace
- Participate in toolbox meetings and contribute to continuous improvement
- Uphold Work, Health and Safety practices

**Preferred knowledge and experience required**:

- Have experience in a similar role, preferably in the food industry
- Optional - B Class Electrical Licence
- Welding certificate - High Pressure
- Fitter and Turner Trade Certificate/ Diploma
- Forklift Licence (desireable)
- Test & tag knowledge
- Experience in fitting and setting up Pump seals and Valve seals
- General computer skills
- Understanding and practitioner of 5S principles an advantage

**The ideal applicant will**:

- Be highly motivated to perform general construction and fabrication
- Have a creative, solution focused mindset
- Have ability to read and work to plans
- Be able to set up and maintain the workshop
- Have welding capabilities

**To Apply**

**Salary**: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
