
Principal Information Systems Officer

As our Principal Business Information Systems Analyst, you will:
- Lead the investigation, development, implementation, and management of business information systems in a manner that ensures systems operate efficiently and effectively, maximising the potential for streamlining and digitalising business processes and information.
- Develop and maintain a strong awareness of the Program's goals, strategy and end to end processes, the flow-on impacts, and implications of changes to existing systems and the role ICT plays in seeing intended strategic outcomes are achieved.
- In collaboration with the Biosecurity Queensland Business Information Systems Unit, monitor the National Red Imported Fire Ant Eradication Program information systems portfolio and proactively address risks and issues as part of a holistic information systems plan for the life of the Program.
- Work closely with Information & Technology Partners to leverage ICT technical capacity and capability from outside the Program to develop, maintain and support the Program's information systems.
- Manage the National Red Imported Fire Ant Eradication Program information systems and associated projects consistent with the Department's ICT standards, protocols, and governance processes.
- Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on the impacts and risks of proposed changes to the Programs systems portfolio to ensure its ongoing health.
- Take responsibility for assisting the Programs business areas in scoping and setting business information systems priorities for enhancements or new initiatives.
- Provide direction and mentoring to a team of professionals to optimise delivery of information systems to all areas of the Program.
