The Change Management Transformation Lead role is responsible for providing leadership in planning, executing, and reinforcing change culturally and systematically across UNSW, specifically in relation to the Organisation’s Business Optimisation Strategy (BOS). Working with other leaders across the university, the role will lead the development and implementation of a clearly articulated vision for moving from disparate, and often inefficient, ways of working to consistent processes that meet the University’s future needs. The role will be a key advisor to the VP Operations, CIO and will lead Management Board and senior Executives through concepts, strategies, and tactics to deliver the BOS successfully. It will work closely with the BOS Program Director and with functional and operational leaders to ensure new systems and processes are effective, consistent and dependable.The successful delivery of the change is a collective responsibility within the Division of Operations and the University. It is clearly understood that the Senior Leadership Team and other university executives will collectively champion the project, support the resolution of issues and individually provide leadership to embed relevant changes in their areas of responsibility. This role reports to the The Chief Information Officer and has one direct report.

**Specific accountabilities for this role include**:

- Drive BOS transformation to ensure successful implementation of new systems and processes, creating an inspiring working environment, increasing our resilience, increasing our efficiency, and improving experience for end users.
- Lead the development of a cadence and patterns of delivery to ensure efficient flow (including alignment with University calendars and demands on academic time) and implement appropriate structure and tools to create visibility and alignment.
- Monitor delivery progress and provide strategic guidance to the Program Director in mitigating risks and addressing issues.
- Partner with appropriate internal and external experts to develop a structured change management plan for the project by establishing key performance indicators and metrics to measure success.
- Develop and ensure high quality change management deliverables and ensure change execution activities are delivered within set timeframes.
- Conduct detailed impact analysis and readiness assessments for the BOS Transformation and evaluate results to inform change approach and plans.
- Develop trusted relationships internally with leaders within IT, HR, Finance, Division and Faculty teams, and externally with strategic partners that will contribute to the successful delivery of the project.
- Provide advice and guidance to the Chief Information Officer, as well as VP, Operations, to ensure delivery of BOS transformation outcomes which meet agreed objectives within resource allocation, budget, and time, including requirements gathering, solution analysis, testing, process documentation and delivery.
- Maintain an in-depth and current knowledge of technological and software developments and industry trends to ensure alignment with best practice whilst meeting the reporting needs of the University.
- Lead collaborative efforts to bring clarity and structure to areas where there is ambiguity, including organising resources and skills to ensure project delivery, negotiating with internal stakeholders.
- Embed standard and ad-hoc quantitative and qualitative analyses to assess the health of the transformation, including defining and tracking key performance indicators, benchmarking exercises, deriving insights, identifying issues, and providing recommendations
- Organise and prepare presentations for engagement with stakeholder groups, senior leadership and governance boards.
- Continually and critically monitor the health of the project and project team, proactively raising concerns as required.

- Cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university and take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of yourself or others.

**Skills and Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and / or extensive experience in delivering effective change management in large scale transformative programs that include changes to people, organisational structures and culture, technology, process, finance and operations.
- Strong experience in driving large, complex delivery of transformations in corporate settings.
