**Join the team**

Reporting into the Head of Strategic Planning & Projects, this role is pivotal in driving the development of Kmart’s business strategy and the key strategic projects that underpin it. You will lead the commercial analysis and financial support for some of Kmart’s largest and most important projects, particularly projects delivered in agile. You will have the opportunity to partner with diverse internal and external stakeholders to deliver agreed project outcomes.

**What you’ll be doing**

As the Commercial Analyst - Agile Projects working for Kmart you will:

- Partner with functional project management and leadership teams for strategy development and reporting
- Ensure clear communication and an ability to provide consistent messaging in relation to measuring business performance
- Conduct financial modelling of cost and benefits to understand the financial impact of strategic initiatives
- Track and report on project initiatives and connect to Kmart’s overall corporate plan
- Prepare business cases, quarterly review material and other ad hoc analysis as required

**To be successful in this role you’ll have**:

- Degree qualification in Finance, Commerce or a related discipline and/or previous experience in a similar Financial, Commercial or Corporate Strategy role
- An ability to problem-solve in an environment with ambiguity and be able to pivot as required
- An ability to break down large strategic projects into smaller pieces of work
- Strong commercial acumen and a strong understanding of underlying P&L drivers
- Well-developed relationship building skills, including the ability to drive outcomes of non-direct reports
- Program and project management experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel with knowledge of VBA/Macros) and advanced analytical skills (PowerBI skills would be advantageous)
