Distribution National Operations Manager

**Your Role**: The Distribution National Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of operational support for Chubb’s Distribution team nationally. This role will work closely with peers and leaders within Distribution, as well as key stakeholders across Operations, Product and Finance to ensure seamless ongoing support to our internal and external customers. This role reports to the Head of Distribution, A&NZ, and works closely with senior leadership to ensure daily efforts meet established goals and objectives. **Your Responsibilities**: - Ensure processes and guidelines are relevant and continually maintained to ensure effective practices within each of the branches - Root cause analysis and remediation of sub-optimal process / service - Assist State Manager to ensure that staff are accountable for monitoring quality, accuracy and timeliness of their own part in the end-to-end processes. - Use data to assess the efficiency of systems, processes and people to maximise productivity and quality objectives. - Support senior leadership in the execution of key initiatives, including but not limited to delivering and monitoring of remedial actions - Work with State managers to develop and deliver training practices; assist in underwriting audits and work on applicable action items. - Evaluate service delivery in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. - Engage in continuing and proactive dialogue with customers to understand their current needs and anticipate their future customer needs. - Align resource/s to assist State Managers to meet Distribution targets/plan: a) Work with State Managers and teams to identify cross marketing opportunities b) Manage the Marcomms merchandise portal c) Work with State Managers to monitor and drive compliance with internal policies. For example: - the peer review process - State booked not bound 95% booked within 60 days - State Peer Reviews 85% score (pass in COG audit) - State Peer Reviews 95% completed on time including all action items - State Policy documents 95% issued within 60 days (exceptions available for excess wordings) - State Pending Records input into systems: > Renewals completed by 3rd of each month - New Business completed by 3rd of each month - Work with Distribution Heads and create efficiencies for broker portals such as Smartmarket/Vertex/MMA/Willis Operational Efficiency / Process Improvement - Ensure process, procedures, tools and systems are continually challenged - Continuous process improvement founded on strong and repeatable data analysis - Root cause analysis and remediation of sub-optimal process / service - Ensure process improvement benefits are executed well and benefits realised **Qualifications**: **Your Skills & Experience**: - Strong written and oral communication skills - Demonstrated experience working on operational efficiencies - Strong leadership skills with ability to coach and train others - Strong organisational and analytical skills - Strong leadership qualities with a proven track record of execution of large scale projects and initiatives - Strong understanding of Underwriting policy practice and requirements - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint - Understanding of the insurance industry and Chubb’s position in the market Chubb is the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurance company, with over 30,000 employees globally.
