**About the Role**

Independent Disability Services is looking for dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our teams in Mooroolbark, Northcote, and Heidelberg, Victoria. This is a casual role with the opportunity for longer shift hours, providing you with a chance to deepen your impact and build stronger relationships with those you support. As a Disability Support Worker, you'll be supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently, achieve their goals, and participate fully in community life.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Facilitating access to community resources and supporting social and recreational participation
- Advocating for the rights of clients, ensuring their needs are met with respect and dignity
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of support activities and progress
- Collaborating closely with the broader care team to develop and implement individualized support plans

**What We’re Looking For**
- A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care (or equivalent, such as nursing qualifications)
- Experience in providing person-centered support to individuals with a range of disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and their families
- A patient, empathetic approach, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and public holidays, with longer shift options available for those seeking more hours
- A current Victorian driver’s license and comprehensive vehicle insurance

Pay: $32.00 - $46.00 per hour
