**About the Role**
They are currently seeking a Human Resources Officer to join the team in Camden, with flexibility to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 6-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.

Working within the People & Learning Business Unit, you will be required to partner with the business to design, deliver and evaluate high quality people and culture initiatives that drive a high-performance culture, build leadership and workforce capability, foster positive and inclusive workplace culture, promote health and wellbeing to enable the organisation to achieve strategic priorities. You will focus on recruitment and selection, industrial relations, performance management and position management with the aim to deliver proactive and customer focused services.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide assistance and training to managers, supervisors and staff on the organisations performance review system
- Assist in the delivery, management and administration of performance review documentation
- Partner with managers and supervisors to review and develop position descriptions
- Provide advice and guidance on organisational restructures
- Implement benchmarking and tracking systems to compare salary relativities within the market
- Review internal policies and procedures
- Generate reports on organisational profile including analytics and statistics
- Provide general advice on industrial relations and award interpretation matters
- Undertake and manage workplace investigations
- Complete end to end recruitment activities including advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, references and employment checks through to onboarding
- Provide proactive support to new staff and managers from onboarding through to probation
- Maintain employee records and files
- Coordinate and participate in annual Career and Employment expos and development networking opportunities with educational institutions
- Evaluate, research and recommend administrative systems, procedures and processes to maximise performance and effectiveness
- Identify trends and issues, mitigating risks, whilst implementing innovative continuous improvement initiatives
- Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships facilitating partnerships, cohesion, collaboration, discussions as well as sharing of information

**About you**
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels
- Professional, resilient, and adaptable interpersonal skills
- Strong computer literacy skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Solid analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or an equivalent field
- Demonstrated experience in Recruitment, Industrial Awards and Employment Legislation
- Local Government / Public Sector experience desirable
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
