About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Engineering and Projects, the Asset Performance Manager is responsible for leading a small team and the delivery of the Asset Management framework for the Renewables business including risk management, strategy, optimisation, asset reliability and planning. You will also be responsible for leading business improvement, risk, compliance and assurance initiatives and activities for Renewables and two gas fired stations Kwinana Swift and Somerton.

This role is based in Melbourne. Visits to operations sites are expected on an infrequent basis.

What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the Asset Management framework implementation and compliance for Renewables portfolio, including KSPS and SOPS.- Generating asset performance reports, conducting Root Cause Analysis investigations, and managing Risk Review workshops- Ensuring compliance with corporate programs, regulatory obligations, and National Electricity Rules.- Optimising Maintenance Strategies to enhance asset reliability and reduce cost.- Providing expert advice on reliability matters and lead the development of asset strategies and management plans.- Coordinating 5-year Capital budgets, aligning with Asset Services standards and ISO 55001.- Ensuring compliance with industry and environmental regulations and promoting Health, Safety, and Environmental improvements.- Leading business and continuous improvement initiatives for Renewables.

About You:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering discipline couple with Chartered Professional Engineer or eligible for National Engineering Register.- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and coaching skills.- Proficient in technical reporting, analytical, and conceptual thinking including Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.- Understanding of asset management principles and the National Electricity Market.- Experience in large-scale plant operations, power generation, and renewable energy is desirable.
