Our client, who offers mobile equipment and services to the quarry, mining, building, construction, shipping and cargo industries, is seeking a welding and fabrication supervisor to join their team in Brisbane's northern suburbs.

Salary commensurate with experience

**About the role**

As the Fabrication Supervisor, reporting to the Production Manager, you will supervise the welding/fabrication team and ensure all aspects of the welding quality and specifications are delivered safely and promptly.

**For the role, you must meet the following**:

- Trade qualification _with a minimum of five years of post-trade experience_
- Qualified Welding Supervisor - IWS or AS 1796 Certificate - _highly regarded, with a minimum of five years of experience_
- Ability to interpret various welding acceptance criteria, e.g. AS, ASME, ISO
- Experience in leading a team of boilermakers/welders
- Must be safety conscious with the ability to promote a safe working environment
- Highly proficient in GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW processes
- Experienced in welding/fabrication of heavy plate, fixed plant, mobile plant and pressure vessel.
- Highly motivated and able to think outside the box
- Strong computer skills are essential
- Ability to write technical reports
- Must be well organised & show practical time management skills
- Forklift licence
- Able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to communicate with key stakeholders of the business
