True Compassion Care is a NDIS registered Service Provider focusing on culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) NDIS participants with a person-centered approach. We provide Supported Independent Living, Assistance with Daily Activities, Personal Care Community Participation, Translation and Transportation Services.

**About the role**:
We are currently looking for:

- Male support workers to provide support in Inala and/or Sandgate.
- Male support worker to provide support in Cannon Hill (Please note, client strongly prefers communication in Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, Swahili
- Female support worker to provide support in Nundah
- Female support worker to provide support in Ipswich. (Please note, participant does not speak English and requires communication in Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, Swahili

In this role you will be working with CALD participants covering a wide spectrum of needs from mental health to other complex support requirements and assisting them with their daily activities, personal care and engagement in the community.

Work across flexible roster including day shifts and afternoon shifts.

Role responsibilities:

- Providing personal care and day-to-day activities in the home and out in the community
- Work individually or in collaboratively to maintain and increase independency
- Following care plans, positive behaviour support plans and other programs related to our participants
- Completing appropriate documentation through shift notes, incident reporting and data collection
- Reporting and working with different stakeholders to achieve realistic results
- Maintain a professional relationship with clients and adhere to the NDIS and company code of conduct
- Contribute to the team’s overall objective of providing the best outcomes for our clients
- Be responsive, reliable and accountable to our clients and your team

**Qualification/Experience**:

- Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care or Higher (or the ability to acquire an appropriate qualification)
- Experience in Mental Health
- Manual Handling/ Hoisting (Essential)
- Diverse Behaviour Skills
- Problem-Solving Skills
- Verbal/Written Communication and Relationship Building Skills
- Paid Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Paid Disability Worker Screening (or Yellow Card)
- Current National Police Check
- Opens Drivers License with registered vehicle and full comprehensive insurance
- First Aid and CPR
- MAYBO Training

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $30.61 - $32.73 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Public holidays

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Brisbane, QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
