Safer Care Victoria was established in January 2017 to ensure our health services are providing safe, high-quality care to patients: every time, everywhere. As well as monitoring the standards of care provided, Safer Care Victoria is partnering with patients, clinicians and health service managers to support the continuous improvement of health care.**Position Summary**:
The Manager of the Technical Development team leads the analytics and reporting function for Safer Care Victoria (SCV) for the purpose of improving quality and safety in Victoria. This team is responsible for internal, state and national reporting and research, epidemiology and recommendation development related to quality and safety. This includes responsibility for provision of analysis and reporting to the Consultative Councils. In addition, this team is responsible for the management and enhancement of SCV held datasets that support the Consultative Councils to optimise versatility of this data collection and will investigate and lead opportunities to optimise security, data governance and availability of information on behalf of SCV. This team also coordinates and leads the ongoing development of quality and safety measures, acting as the key interface between the Victorian Agency for Health Information and the Department of Health (DH). The position reports to the Director, Safety Insights Program and requires the ability to operate in a fast-moving and complex environment. You will be required to exercise innovative leadership & sound judgement.
