Grow Accounting are seeking a skilled Contract Accountant (SMSF Specialist) to join our team.

As an Accountant specialising in SMSFs, you will play a key role in managing a portfolio of self-managed super funds, preparing quarterly financials, and ensuring compliance with superannuation legislation.

This is a 6-month contract position, 2–3 days per week, with flexibility. For candidates who also bring general tax and accounting expertise, the role has the potential to expand to full-time. Outstanding performers may also have the opportunity to transition into a permanent position with our growing firm.


What you'll be doing
  • Managing a database of SMSFs using Class software
  • Preparing quarterly financial reports and annual compliance documentation
  • Ensuring adherence to ATO and superannuation legislation requirements
  • Assisting clients with queries around contributions, pensions, and compliance matters
  • Collaborating with our wider accounting team to deliver timely, high-quality SMSF services
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry changes and emerging asset classes
What we're looking for
  • Significant experience working with SMSFs, including compliance and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Class software (essential)
  • Strong understanding of superannuation law and regulations
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills to engage with clients and our internal team
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workflow
  • Experience with cryptocurrency reporting and property transactions highly regarded
