**Early Intervention Injury Management Advisor** to join our dynamic Health and Safety team

Reporting to the Senior Early Intervention Management Advisor, this role will be at the forefront of promoting early injury management and treatment. You will actively reach out to injured workers, collaborate with site managers and healthcare providers, and drive positive injury management outcomes. Your expertise as an Early Intervention Injury Management Advisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our team members across our widespread store network

**What you’ll be doing**

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

- **Directing Activity**: You will oversee the pre-claims and early intervention processes for workplace injury management. This involves actively managing medical certificates, ensuring early treatment, and facilitating clearance within the pre-claim window whenever possible.
- **Collaboration**: You will work closely with the Wesfarmers Group Team Cover claims team to provide expert guidance on appropriate treatment, services, and return-to-work issues. Your insights and recommendations will be instrumental in developing and executing effective claims and injury management strategies.
- **Store Engagement**: Build strong relationships with Kmart stores by actively engaging with store management to enhance their understanding of return-to-work plans and workers' compensation obligations.
- **Support injured workers**: Consult and provide feedback to case officers on appropriate treatment, rehabilitation, and other services, as well as return-to-work issues. Conduct fieldwork, including meetings with managers and health practitioners to discuss return-to-work issues and treatment.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Continually monitor and enhance the effectiveness of injury management strategies across our Workers Compensation portfolio. You will analyze injury trends to contribute to proactive injury prevention strategies.

**T**
**o be successful in this role you’ll have**:

- A background in allied health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiologist) or a related field such as Rehabilitation Counselling.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in injury management.
- Demonstrated experience in workplace-based rehabilitation, preferably in a self-insured environment.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic and results-oriented environment.
- High-level organizational skills with expertise in effective work and process planning.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills to negotiate and drive outcomes.
- The ability to influence practitioners in the workers' compensation industry.
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills, including effective communication with workers, managers, and medical providers.
- Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
