**About the Role**
The Information and Records Officer will be responsible for providing and supporting the management of electronic records systems to ensure the successful adoption and recordkeeping practices for projects.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Ensure compliance with records and records related legislation such as the State Records Act, Government Access (Public Access) GIPA Act, Personal Information Privacy Protection Act (PIPPA) and the Copyright Act.
- Utilise the Authority’s computerised records management system to undertake information and records management services, including identifying, classifying, registering, indexing, tracking, storing and the retrieval of records, library documents, electronic images and electronic registration of library and information.
- Ensure the security of records within the organisation and during the secure transfer of material to secondary storage and State Archives in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist in the appropriate physical and electronic checking of records due for disposal.
- Provide advice and training for the Authority’s staff on information and records management activities and assist in the delivery of in-house training on information management fundamentals.
- Develop work instructions for tasks directly undertaken for inclusion in the records management policy and procedures.
**About you**
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of records management, in content manager or a similar system
- Demonstrated high level knowledge of the requirements of the State Records Act and NSW Government requirements and guidance for records management practices
- Demonstrated ability to deliver staff training
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team to coordinate corporate record sentencing and archiving activities
- Excellent communication skills to be able to consult, negotiate and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Well-developed interpersonal and organisation skills with the ability to resolve issues with a diverse range of people
- Content Manager 9 experience highly regarded, but not essential
