Inventory Control Specialist

**Position description**

Reporting to the Assistant Buyer, you will assist with the planning, forecasting and ordering of products. Your responsibilities will include:

- Planning and forecasting sales plans and Open to Buys.
- Reviewing inventory across all warehouses.
- Placing daily purchase orders across multiple categories
- Daily Analysis of the market and competition
- Data entry reporting and buying system maintenance
- Execute marketing activities inconjunction with the Buying and Marketing teams.
- Liaising with suppliers, warehouse stores and distribution centre
- Assisting the Buyer and Assistant Buyer with various merchandise projects
- General administration duties

**The successful applicant** will possess:

- ** ESSENTIAL** - Proven minimum of 1 year retail experience - either store operations or a stock control/replenishment position.
- ** ESSENTIAL** - Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- ** ESSENTIAL** - Strong mathematical skills
- ** ESSENTIAL****:

- High level of communication skills, both written and verbal.
- ** DESIRABLE** - Degree qualifications
- Basic Microsoft PowerPoint skills
- AS400 experience would be beneficial
- Excellent team player
- Strong telephone and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
