Our client is a global leader in communication. They provide mobile radio communications, video security & access control, integrated technology to help make communities safer.

**About the Role**:
The position is to provide communication equipment services, ensuring customer satisfaction. The position requires a minimum of four years' experience in a radio communication service environment, technical skills, customer satisfaction skills, and the ability to work independently. Promotion prospects include Senior Technician or Field Technician roles.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform a variety of tasks to modify, repair, maintain and install communication systems, equipment, parts, and accessories
- Inspect technical problems using test equipment as necessary and make on‑air tests in accordance with relevant regulations diagnose and correct malfunctions
- Verify each frequency and power output for compliance with relevant regulations
- Advise customers and staff on the operation of the communications systems
- Complete and maintain written records and paperwork
- Correctly account for all parts used in repairs
- Install, maintain, and upgrade computer-based controllers associated with communications systems
- Maintain an orderly and safe work area.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Experience in a commercial radio communications environment
- Radio Communications Tradesman or Technician Certificate
- Certificate or demonstrated interest in Data Communications, Microprocessors and Computer Programming
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Should have a systematic, analytical approach to fault finding
- Must have the desire and ability to continually acquire technical knowledge of new products, systems, and techniques
- It may be necessary to work overtime at random including afterhours call-out
- A current drivers' licence is required.
