**About the role**

As **Manager Casewor**k within our family based care team, you will be responsible for mentoring, coaching, and supporting case management staff to achieve positive outcomes for children, young people, and families. The role involves ensuring high-quality, evidence-based services, promoting respectful casework, and providing guidance, training, and development to employees.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Actively engage children, young people, their families, carers, and other people important to them, in the formulation and implementation of their case plans.
- Liaise and partner with internal and external stakeholders to improve service delivery, develop practice, and achieve the care goals for children and young people.
- Conduct assessments, planning, reviews, and referrals for children and young people with complex support needs using endorsed procedures and tools.
- Ensure written materials for internal and external use meet high-quality, evidence-informed standards and comply with policy, legislation, and regulations.
- Lead relevant teams in best practice assessment, planning, and evaluation processes
- Provide regular supervision, coaching, development and support to case management staff for quality outcomes.

**Skills & Experience**
- A recognised Degree qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology, Nursing or Mental Health **OR**recognised Diploma in a related field and working toward a relevant Degree qualification. (Note: a qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)
- A current driver’s licence
- Extensive experience in the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of case management and client support services
- Demonstrated understanding of current casework practice for children and young people, including trauma-informed, permanency-focused, and therapeutic case plans.
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals, families, or groups from a strengths-based and culturally appropriate perspective.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership/management, coaching, mentoring, and providing support and training to managers and staff
- Excellent written communication skills for the creation of reports, correspondence, and other material
