**About the Role**

The Planning & Scheduling Trainee is a member of the Planning & Scheduling team, which is part of the AWS Project Management Office (PMO).

This Planning & Scheduling traineeship is a two-year fixed term opportunity based at our Garden Island, NSW site, where you will develop the foundational skills and gain practical experience by being trained in and work alongside planning & scheduling, project control, PMO peers and project management staff to be able to provide a range of project planning, scheduling and control activities, including.
- Using Primavera, assist with the preparation of tender schedules in support of bid submissions
- Using Primavera, assist with the preparation and maintenance of project master schedules during the production phase of a projects
- Assist with the preparation and issue of physical work packages for scheduled tasks
- Assist in project schedule and cost control activities to support Project Managers/Control Account Managers (CAM) to effectively manage their scope of work
- Assist with the preparation of regular reports and charts on project schedule progress and project performance
- Assist to support the management and analysis of workload and workforce demand for AWS
- Work as part of a team in a dynamic multi-project environment and play a part in ensuring the RAN and our other partners meet their objectives.
- Formal learning consists of undertaking formal studies in Project Management, as well as role specific training including Primavera tool training.

**About You**
- Study for a TAFE or Tertiary qualification in Project Management
- Demonstrate well-developed communication skills with the ability to work in a dynamic multi-project team environment
- Demonstrate computer literacy including knowledge of standard Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrate analytical skills and attention to detail
- Be able to treat new situations and change as opportunities for learning and growth
- Be committed to complying with all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures

**Good to Know
As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance. This role will also require you to work with information covered by the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and as such your nationality may affect your eligibility for the role.

Prior to offer you will complete a pre-employment police and medical.
