**About the opportunity**
We're currently on the lookout for a Workforce Capability Development Manager to join our Operations team at Moran Health Care Group. This role will primarily operate from our Kellyville home, with occasional visits to our Head Office located on Bridge Street, Sydney. Additionally, responsibilities will extend to our homes in Sylvania, Engadine, Stockton, and Roxburgh Park (VIC), requiring travel.
Reporting to the Quality Compliance Manager, this position will concentrate on delivering, coordinating, planning, and executing continuous education initiatives within Moran Homes (MH). The incumbent will hold overall responsibility for initiating activities to ensure the identification and fulfillment of both individual and organizational educational needs.
The Workforce Capability Development Manager plays a vital and integral role within the Operations team, collaborating closely with the Clinical Governance Lead (CGL) while providing support to the General Managers (GM) and Care Managers (CM) across various homes.

**About the Role**
In this capacity, the Workforce Capability Development Manager holds responsibility for enhancing Workforce Capability, encompassing education initiatives, the development structure for employees, pathways for all streams of development, skill capability progression, and the onboarding structure for staff.
Moreover, the Workforce Capability Development Manager is accountable for facilitating, coordinating, planning, implementing, and evaluating education initiatives and onboarding processes within the Aged Care Home (ACH). They take overall responsibility for initiating activities to ensure that both individual and organizational education needs are identified and addressed effectively.
**Program Development**
- Develop skills assessment program for all roles that can be delivered locally at each aged care home to build workforce capability.
- Develop new RN orientation and on-boarding program, that supports RN sponsorship opportunities.
- Develop a RN & Carer buddy program to build the skills of dedicated buddies and to enhance the onboarding of new employees.
- Develop initiatives that further promote the implementation of the MHCG Household Model
- Review and evaluate MHCG orientation program.
- Review the monthly education calendar of each home ensuring that plan is in line with continuous improvement plan and workforce capability program.
- Plan formal education sessions and document lecture plan incorporating goals and learner objectives for each session.
- Maintain documentation of education given to staff members including formal internal and external education, clinical instructions and practical demonstrations, lectures, videos, and any other relevant education.
- Encourage support and assist staff with specialised skills and knowledge to prepare and present education sessions within the program - both formal sessions and clinical supervision.
- Organise external lectures by liaising with the relevant bodies able to supply training needs.
- Provide monthly reports to QCM.
- Complete quarterly education evaluations for the QCM
**Clinical Education**
- Deliver training sessions on clinical procedures as required.
- Liaise with relevant bodies regarding student/trainee needs.
- Maintain and promote the standards of professional development of nursing and care staff to ensure best practice by providing education and support.
- Ensure standards are maintained in the clinical environment and practice particularly regarding WHS, Manual Handling, Infection Control and Documentation.
- Encourage and facilitate the professional development of nursing and care staff.
**About You**
- Registered Nurse Division 1- Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA
- Certificate 4 in Workplace Assessment and Training or working towards
- Driver’s license
- Demonstrated clinical skills and experience.
- Excellent and demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to provide clinical and general education as required.
- Well-developed and demonstrated understanding of systems and processes.
- Well-developed problem solving and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and within a team.
- Knowledge and ability to use computers and technology efficiently.
