Manager, Data Center Operations (Western Sydney)

The successful applicant will manage customers, vendors and colleagues across 3 keys sites in Unanderra, Rosehill and Silverwater, as well as any additional, future data center's in Western Sydney.
As a Shift Leader in one of your (IBX) Data Centres, you will have responsibilities of on-site management of the IBX engineering team on delivery of all engineering services and activities. This will ensure appropriate support of a successful team who are committed to achieving the company objectives and to ensure effective management of each IBX facility within the local campus.
The campus has an established team in place so we are looking for someone to build on the current foundations and help drive operational excellence within the data center's. We are looking to interview immediately for the position which has become vacant due to an internal promotion.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with onsite teams, coaching and guiding the team to meet KPI's setting high standards of compliance.
- Provides guidance and project leadership ensuring projects or other initiatives are meeting or exceeding company expectations
- Maintaining Certifications through demonstrating detailed completion of Maintenance and Repairs to the standards established.
- Partner management through positive communication and an ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
- Identifies and documents the root cause of issues
- Facilitate team efficiency with process development to ensure the outcomes.
- Vendor Contract management and owning the process to establishing Vendor contracts.
- Management with the commercial management team of design budgets and control of change management requests during the construction phase in consultation with the Construction Manager
- Assists in drafting proposals for datacenter infrastructure improvements which require capital expenditure approval
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience or equivalent work experience in Critical Facilities environment
- Previous experience or close exposure to Data Centre's and/or critical facilities environments
- Consistent track record of leading and managing onsite teams
- Bachelors Degree or Trade Certified in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or relevant field
