**Position Information**:
Northern Beaches Secondary College Cromer Campus (enrolment 1150 students) is a comprehensive co-educational school located on the northern beaches of Sydney. Cromer Campus has recently experienced a substantial increase in student numbers due to a range of successful programs. **Selection Criteria**:
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,

Approval to teach science and at least one stage 6 science course, either Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Earth and Environmental Science.

Demonstrated capacity for strong faculty leadership with a focus on high impact professional learning to support a faculty of diverse staff at various stages in their professional development.

Demonstrated ability to lead teachers in developing and implementing high quality programs, assessment tasks and learning experiences that are engaging and differentiated to meet the needs of all learners.

Excellent personal and interpersonal skills demonstrating a capacity to build and strengthen authentic relationships with students, staff, parents and the community.

Capacity to work collaboratively with the executive team to lead, manage and implement whole school processes and initiatives that support the school’s strategic directions including the ability to lead literacy programs at a faculty and whole school level for improved student learning outcomes.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice

2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs

3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams

4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents

5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning

6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
