**About the Business**
The Community Visitor Scheme (CVS) plays an essential role in promoting the wellbeing, dignity and rights of people living with a mental health condition who receive care from a mental health service, people living with a disability in a state-run disability service and those who are under the guardianship of the Public Advocate and participants in the National Disability Insurance Scheme. The CVS is a volunteer-led scheme that protects people's rights and supports the improvement of care services, with Community Visitors conducting visits and inspections and engaging with clients and their families to ensure they have adequate information regarding their treatment and are supported to achieve better outcomes.
**Role Details**
The Administration Officer is a role within the Community Visitor Scheme and is accountable to the Principal Community Visitor (PCV) for:
- providing administration and executive support for the Principal Community Visitor and staff within the Community Visitor Scheme
- coordination of information, documentation and correspondence
- undertaking minor research and project work as required and accessing information sources to provide documentation as required, and
- developing and maintaining appropriate relationships to facilitate the day to day business of the office.
**Special Conditions**
National Police Check required
Out of hours work may be required from time to time, and intrastate absences may be required. The incumbent will be required to enter into an annual performance agreement for the achievement of specific or service program outcomes
Must hold a current Australian issued Driver’s Licence (equivalent to minimum class ‘C’ - South Australian), which must be maintained. Incumbent must be willing and able to drive all government vehicles within their licence classification during the course of their duties.
