We have an exciting opportunity for a part time/full time **Technical Services Coordinator** to be part of our team at a new state of the art campus the **University of Canberra at Castle Hill, Sydney.**

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
The occupant of this position will be required to:
- Manage clinical laboratory functions and provide support and guidance to support team members to solve complex issues as they arise, escalating to the Discipline Lead Nursing as required.
- Manage and oversee the safe operation of dedicated laboratories, including management of standard operating procedures, risk management processes and health and safety procedures.
- Liaise closely with the with Head of Technical Services Manager on the Bruce Campus regarding technical requirements and technical related issues as required. Act as the primary point of contact for teaching and research technical support needs within Faculty programmes.
- Lead team to plan, prepare and set-up laboratories for teaching/research including setting up and dismantling equipment, instrumentation, simulation resources, analysers, chemicals and consumables. Identify and elevate any issues to UCHS Discipline Lead (UCSH) and Head of Technical Services as required.
- Work with the teaching and professional support teams to develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure effective communication of laboratory requirements.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and calibration of equipment to ensure safe, reliable and accurate operation. Support team to engage contractors for repair and maintenance as required and maintain accurate equipment service and maintenance records.
- Provide the Programme/s convenor UCHS Discipline Lead (UCSH) and Head of Technical Services) with reports and advice on equipment uses, maintenance and safety requirements to maintain a safe and efficient environment for staff and students.
- Provide advice to the Programme/s convenor UCHS Discipline Lead Nursing and Head of Technical Services on future laboratory space requirements and equipment needs, including preparation of information for annual Faculty equipment summit.
- Maintain records and adhere to University of Canberra processes as required for level of financial delegation, including review of team credit card expenses.
