Agritrading has enjoyed significant growth and an outstanding leadership opportunity has arisen for a highly driven General Manager to continue the impressive growth of the business.
The role of General Manager is to work closely with the Managing Director to provide leadership, direction and support to the team to deliver key financial and operational objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring the culture of the team is positive and collaborative. This will lead to good operational practices, market innovation, excellent internal and external customer service and strong relationships with external suppliers and customers in order to drive the sales and profitability of the business and sustainable growth.

**The key responsibilities of the role include**:
- Establish and lead the annual budgeting process for the company.
- Monitor and control financial affairs ensuring reporting systems provide timely information on budgeting, cash management, and profit and loss reporting
- Review and refinement of existing processes including forecasting methods, cost controls, customer touch points in relation to order fulfilment and customer account management
- Lead the development and execution of business-critical policies and procedures
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve efficiencies
- Management of suppliers as well as negotiation strategies to secure profitable outcomes
- Assist with the development and implementation of the marketing strategy for the Group including, customer relations, distribution of products, advertising, business development, increasing market penetration, and keeping abreast of new technologies
- Management of the HR/IR function and required performance management
**Background and Key Skills required**:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Economics, Supply Chain or similar
- Extensive experience in a leadership role within agribusiness/supply chain or a similar industry
- Strong business, financial and analytical acumen
- Extensive experience in leading teams and driving a strong positive culture, coupled with a strong understanding of systems, processes and project management
- Must have a broad commercial mindset coupled with exceptional communication skills
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering change management outcomes
- Customer service at the forefront of thoughts and actions
- Demonstrated experience in delivering process improvements
- Self-motivated and driven; a fast learner with a calm and positive influence
