Mater Health is looking for a Knowledge Translation Project Coordinator to join the Clinical Governance team. This 12-month, maximum term is full-time and based at Newstead.

The purpose of this role is to lead, coordinate and monitor research and evidence-based projects aligned with the Clinical Governance Unit, Mater Health’s strategic priorities.

**Salary range: $54.45 - $58.30 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and**access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900** +**access to many staff benefits

**What you’ll be doing**

You will coordinate research and knowledge translation projects that are based on identified needs and require a range of skills from evidence synthesis to implementation. You will also:

- Work with Clinical Governance team to analyze collected audit data and identify practice gaps.
- Use critical thinking and sound research analysis skills to identify potential recommendations that are supportable, implementable and sustainable.
- Facilitate projects to address identified practice gaps.
- Liaise with Mater ministries to provide a coordinated approach to service improvement and patient safety projects.
- Provide and develop resources, education materials, and guidance to State-wide clinical governance team and the Mater community regarding evidence-based research activities.
- Mentor junior staff to support capability development.
- Assist with the transition of knowledge into practice.

**About you**

You will have a Masters or doctoral degree in a related health discipline, AHPRA registration, research courses, grant experience, and publication/presentation achievements.
- Promoting research and portfolio management: Promote research activities, align with unit priorities, secure funding, and provide support for projects.
- Collaboration and engagement: Demonstrate communication skills, establish collaborative networks, and use negotiation and conflict management for successful outcomes.
- Documentation and reporting: Prepare complex reports, maintain research records, and provide advice to stakeholders.
- Leadership and mentorship: Supervise, coach, and mentor junior staff.
