**About the role**
As the **Manager, Systems, Data and Reporting**, you will lead a team overseeing the governance, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of IT systems and data reporting platforms across the Health, Safety and Staff Wellbeing (HSSW) Directorate. You’ll be responsible for driving high quality reporting and analytics, identifying performance trends and providing actionable insights to inform strategic and operational decision making. The role will also lead data governance frameworks, support business planning and performance monitoring processes and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and evidence-based practice across the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team delivering system enhancements, service improvements, and high-quality data and reporting solutions aligned to departmental needs.
- Leading the development and implementation of IT systems and reporting tools to ensure they meet evolving business and compliance requirements.
- Establishing strong operational plans, standards, and procedures aligned with current security protocols and best practices.
- Providing strategic data insights, analysis, and performance improvement recommendations to support evidence-based decision making leading to safer workplaces and better health outcomes.
- Driving project planning, vendor engagement, and governance for system and service delivery initiatives.
- Building strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support service delivery and issue resolution.
- Leading a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within your team.

**About you**
You are an innovative systems and data leader who understands the power of technology to drive service outcomes. You are passionate about improving processes, using data to inform strategy, and building team capability.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex IT systems and data reporting services in a large, multifaceted organisation.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with a focus on collaboration and service delivery.
- A strong understanding of project planning, system development lifecycles, governance, and vendor management.
- The ability to interpret and analyse data to drive performance improvement and strategic planning.
- A commitment to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement in systems and services.
**Essential requirements of the role**
- Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in the related field
- Experience in managing and leading a team
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
