**About the Role and the Team**

Customer Service & Admissions Departments at Monash Childrens Hospital (MCH) has an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, experienced and professional Administration Officer to join our team as a Customer Service/iPM Admissions Administration Officer.

Permanent Part Time - 6-8 shifts per fortnight

**Being the first point of entry to the hospital your primary responsibilities will include**:

- Provide exceptional customer service both face-to-face and over the phone
- Utilise multiple software systems to navigate and assist consumers
- Complete and ensure timely and accurate data entry when admitting and updating patient details on the Patient administrative system (iPM), VAED audit reports and other data entry administrative duties as required (as outlined on the attached PD)

**Operating Hours**

The Monash Childrens Hospital (MCH) Main Reception is open 7 days per week. Shift start and finish times may vary between 6.30am and finish at 8pm.

The Monash Childrens Hospital (MCH) Admissions area is opne 5 days per week. Shift start and finish times may vary between 6.30am and finish at 9pm, with the potential of operating hours to be changed and extended as the service continues to grow

Staff may also be required to travel to other Monash Health sites.

**About You**

We are seeking people to join our patient-focused team who possess the following:

- Excellent customer relations skills, strong clerical/ admin skills, and experience with medical terminology including iPM, SMR, and EMR computer systems.
- Flexibility in availability, rostering and working shifts is essential.
- Thrive in a busy and multitasked workplace
- Have a passion and are able to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrate interpersonal understanding by demonstrating empathy and sensitivity to feelings of others.
- Be self-motivated and committed to self-improvement.
- A positive approach to a frequently changing environment.
- Administrative experience in a Health related field will be looked upon favourably
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks in timely manner
- Are a team player
