Real Community Services was established in January 2006 and now provides thousands of personal support hours per week to hundreds of people with a disability such as mental health, acquired brain injury or neurological conditions by focusing on empowering and improving their lifestyles.

**About the Role**

Our participant is looking for Female Disability Support Workers in Salisbury area. You will provide one-on-one quality support to individuals with disabilities in homes or the community.

**You will assist the participant with domestic duties and community access. You must love children and able to assist with two young children from time to time.**

**Your English and comprehension skills must be excellent and availability on Sunday from 8am - 4pm is essential.**

**Clients Supports Needs**:

- Understand the needs, goals, and daily activities of Participants.
- Use positive reinforcement and other techniques to support Participants in their daily routines.
- Prompting assistance: personal care, meal preparation and managing appointments
- Physical assistance required with domestic duties and other tasks as required
- Develop meaningful and professional relationships with Participants and families.
- Community access

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Prior experience supporting clients with disabilities highly desirable
- Must have a valid drivers licence.
- Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)
- NDIS ‘Worker Orientation’ module (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Full Australian working rights
- Smart phone with internet access
- Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required
