We are seeking an experienced and creative Industrial Designer to lead the design and development of innovative soft goods, including packs, bags, and related consumer products. You will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, and documenting products from concept to final production, with a strong focus on usability, functionality, ergonomics, aesthetics, and marketability.

This is a key role in our design team, requiring a balance of creative vision and technical capability. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to bring products to life through research, ideation, prototyping, and manufacturing processes.

**Responsibilities**

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Interpret and refine product briefs in consultation with internal stakeholders (e.g., product managers and marketing teams).
- Conduct market and user research to identify opportunities and consumer needs that inform product direction.
- Formulate conceptual design solutions for new or improved products, considering function, form, materials, ergonomics, usability, and production methods.
- Produce detailed sketches, CAD models, 3D renders, and technical drawings using tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Autodesk Fusion 360.
- Create and iterate on prototypes, including both hand-made samples (sewing, pattern making) and 3D-printed components.
- Test, evaluate, and refine prototypes through feedback, user testing, and design analysis.
- Prepare comprehensive specification documents and tech packs for suppliers and manufacturers to support production.
- Liaise with global manufacturing partners to ensure accurate translation of designs into commercially viable products.
- Ensure design solutions align with budget, manufacturing timelines, quality standards, and commercial objectives.
- Lead and manage multiple projects, delivering high-quality outcomes on time and within scope.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and design innovations.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in industrial design, with a strong portfolio of soft goods or similar consumer products.
- Proven ability to design products that balance aesthetics, ergonomics, usability, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Autodesk Fusion 360 or equivalent CAD software.
- Experience creating technical documentation, tech packs, and production specifications.
- Skilled in developing physical prototypes using pattern making, sewing, or 3D modelling.
- Strong communication skills, with experience presenting concepts and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience working with international suppliers and understanding of global manufacturing processes.
- A passion for outdoor or active lifestyle products is highly desirable.
